The busy cities of Liverpool, Chester and Manchester are within easy reach with excellent transport links.Pay Rates*:Days: £19.96 per hourSaturdays/Nights: £25.95 per hourSunday/Bank Hols: £31.93 per hour*Pay rates may vary depending on Trust, experience, any incentives that are running, and are subject to change.**STAFF NURSE , RENAL DIALYSIS UNIT Band 5**ROLEResponsible for the assessment, planning and delivery of nursing care for a named caseload of patients. Participation in the education, development and supervision of other staff.RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Assessment, planning and delivery of nursing care to patient attending the dialysis unit for routine haemodialysis
  • Assessment and management of acute haemodialysis patients
  • Supervise others and contribute to their education and development
  • To be responsible for effective infection control in the delivery patient care
  • Provide clinical support to the multidisciplinary team
  • Monitor and maintain health, safety and security of self and others
  • Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations
  • Collect, collate and report information maintaining accurate patient records
  • All staff must ensure rigorous and consistent compliance with standard infection control precautions which include; hand hygiene, dress code and the use of personal protective equipment and all other policies relevant to infection prevention and control.Attendance at mandatory infection control lectures is an essential component of the role.
DUTIES OR KEY TASKS
  • Contribute to meeting the agreed objectives for the Ward/Department within the Division and organisation
  • Be aware of and adhere to national, local and professional policies, protocols and guidelines and Trusts objectives
  • Following completion of NMC preceptorship involve patients/carers in the planning and implementation of care
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Qualifications Essentials:-
  • First Level Registered Nurse
  • Haemodialysis experience
  • Renal nursing experience
  • Ability to use Fresenius Cordiax 5000 Dialysis machine

  • Excellent communicator (verbal and written)
  • Act as s positive role model
  • Able to function as an effective member of multi-disciplinary team
