Job Description

Position: Project Engineering ManagerLocation: BromboroughHours: Full Time - 45 Hrs per week may involve some weekend and evening workSalary: £38,000-£45,000 DOEMy client is currently seeking a Project Manager to join their company based in Bromborough. The bespoke nature of my clients business, equipment and services offered requires a versatile and driven team to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all projects with adherence to company procedures and within pre-determined project strategy
  • Ensure that the clients design and performance requirements are met
  • Responsible for the execution of the project on time and within budget
  • Manage change to scope, time and budget through Contract Variation Orders
  • Manage and communicate all elements of change control. Ensure the work scope does not change without client acceptance of change to value and time as necessary
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Manage information, communication and activity relating to the scope of supply
  • Act as a focal point of contact for the client ensuring client expectations are managed proactively, diplomatically and constructively and that clients are kept informed and aware of the project status throughout
  • Identify project risks and maintain Risk Register. Ensure mitigation is applied and risks are communicated to functions as required
  • Agree timing and format of status reports to client and compile the reports in a timely manner
  • Planning and communication ensure that the project is correctly resourced to ensure execution to plan
  • Ensure correct materials are requisitioned through Procurement
  • Ensure that all project related purchase orders are expedited
Skills and experience:Essential
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in business, management or engineering related study
  • Previous project management experience in an engineering-based business
  • Competent with industry standard planning software, e.g. Microsoft Project
Desirable
  • Chartered status desirable
  • Project Management specific qualification such as PMP or PRINCE2
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Technical engineering knowledge
  • Knowledge and understanding of oil and gas industry
