Based near the Wirral, the Project Engineer role is initially a 12 month contract supporting many different projects within the factory from conceptual design all the way through to completionClient DetailsThe client is based near the Wirral, a global FMCG manufacturer supplying into a number of different industries with a fantastic reputation as both a brand and employer.DescriptionProject Engineer Main Accountabilities:1) Will be expected to arrange and co-ordinate small scale factory trials.2) Will learn to manage factory installation activities with 3rd party contractors making sure all work is completed in line with the construction safety standards. 3) Reviewing technical submissions from suppliers to ensure the proposals meet the Unilever specifications. 4) Taking part and eventually leading Early Equipment Management workshops and design reviews with internal and external functions. 5) Learn to lead small scale plant projects from conceptual design through to completion. 6) Work alongside the Project leaders to support the delivery of critical large-scale projects.7) Manage orders of equipment through the company payment system.ProfileKEY REQUIREMENTS for Project Engineer* Mechanical or Electrical/Automation qualification at HND level or equivalent.* Knowledge and experience of engineering project management.* Preference would be for someone with experience of packaging or Warehouse machinery/equipment. * Good working knowledge of machinery safety and PUWER regulations. * You will need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive with good verbal and written communication skills. * Preference would be for someone who has managed installation activities and understands construction safety requirements e.g. Risk assessment, method statement, Permit to work etc.*FMCG experience would be preferable*Packaging machinery experience also preferableJob Offer12 month initial contract£30,000Graduates considered
