Job Description

On behalf of our client we are seeking a talented and dedicated Management Accountant to lead their Accounting & Finance team based in Wirral. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all financial and accounting procedures, driving inefficienciesforward and highlighted project related profits.Client DetailsOur client is a highly reputable player in the industrial / manufacturing industry, employing over 1000 people across multiple sites, boasting excellent tenure across all departments. This is an amazing opportunity to join a formidable accountancy team in a very well-known successful business!DescriptionManagement Accountant duties and qualities include:

  • Competency to produce a full set of management accounts for multiple entities within tight deadlines, that include balance sheet reconciliations and commentary / variance analysis
  • Confidence running with budgeting and re-forecasting processes
  • Partner with overhead functions to explain actual spend compared to budget and provide ad hoc reporting as required.
  • Good with Excel, and confident working with large raw data sets
  • Overseeing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems - working with the wider team
  • Maintaining internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and both team and organisational budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Working on projects, reporting and operational dashboards to assist with business performance and presentations
  • Consistently analysing financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Implementing and managing financial planning processes.
ProfileA successful Management Accountant should have:
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Ideally
  • Relevant experience within a Management Accounts role
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
