Job Description

Management AccountantWirralSalary - £40,000 - £45,000 We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Qualified Management Accountant to join our client, who due to continued success are seeking someone to join one of their most exciting and fastest growing divisions. This is essentially a divisional number2 role which involves a mix of reporting, analysis and commercial value adding duties. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting and working closely with the Finance Director, being an integral part for the preparation for the monthlymanagement accounts.The successful candidate will possess a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or working towards (Part qual)My Client will also consider QBE, depending on experience.JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support in the production of monthly information packs / reports for inclusion in the finance reporting pack.
  • Support in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Profit and loss account analysis.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations at each month end.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory year end reporting.
  • Prepare accounts for the key trading business
  • Support with initiatives to improve department processes and procedures.
Competencies:
  • Good leadership and influencing skills.
  • Experience of developing and mentoring more junior colleagues.
  • Assist the divisional number 1 in running the finance team.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Robust personality and has the ability to work to tight deadlines in a demanding and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and to thrive under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
  • Good networker; able to build cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • To act as an effective team member in project teams.
  • A strong and unrelenting drive for improvement and attention to detail.
  • Experience of RedSky & COINS is desirable, not essential.
