Job Description

This Brigg Scientific client are a Medical Diagnostics research and manufacturing company, based on the Wirral in Merseyside. They are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Production Technician.The Production laboratory build, test and Quality control, cartridges used in the diagnosis of clinical conditions and illnesses.The Laboratory Production Technician is responsible for the execution of detailed processes for the manufacture of product and sub assemblies within a strict GMP environment.Other duties including:

  • Maintaining the internal GMP systems in place for manufacture
  • Performing and recording results of any process controls
  • Product check controls. ie weight and dimension checking
  • Failure reporting
  • Reporting of control data
  • Identifying automation /equipment issues
The successful candidate will have good attention to detail and understand Quality and Health and Safety standards. They will also be happy doing detailed small scale manufacturing tasks of a repetitive nature.Good written and oral communication skills are essential.Applications are encouraged from the Scientific Sectors as well as the production sector. Priority will be given to anyone with prior manufacturing experience or exposure to a GMP environment.Hours are 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday and the role is permanent in nature and carries a salary of circa £20K.
