Job Description

Development Chemist Very competitive salaryBased on the WirralAn successful expanding company based on the Wirral who are developing a unique chemical processing technology are looking for an additional Development Chemist on a permanent basis.The successful candidate will ideally have experience of developing chemical processes - either Inorganic (preferred) or Organic from time spent working in industry - having a Development Chemistry mindset is important. The successful candidate will be involvedin their own projects from Day 1 as part of a team of Development Chemists working alongside the Technical Manager.The company have a site in France as well and international travel is on offer for the successful candidate as part of tech transfer, method transfer and project handover to their clients who are based World wide.Duties:

  • Helping to run Laboratory scale processes as part of a development plan
  • Be involved in scaling up to pilot plant and then onto plant scale
  • Provide support to New Product Development
  • Provide assistance overseas at customers sites to set up new chemical processes initially developed and scaled up onsite at the companys site on the Wirral.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum educated to BSc level in a Chemistry related subject.
  • 3 years+ industry experience in an R&D / Development environment
  • Experience in New Product Development and / or Process Chemistry
  • Additional experience in Ion Chromatography would be beneficial
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Any additional skills in speaking French would be advantageous.
