3*LAN Network Project Design EngineersNetwork Project Design Engineer/ technical SME/ Cisco LAN solution designs/ Cisco WAN/ Cisco LAN technologies/ Aruba Wi-Fi controllers/ CCNP/CCDP/ WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi/ Routing Protocols/ Switching & Networking/TCP/IP/TCP/ UDP/ OSI Model/ Telecom ExperiencePort Sunlight£400-450 Per Day- Outside IR359 Month Contract-Extensions Likely3 LAN Network Project Design Engineers are required by our Consumer Good client to act as the technical SMEs responsible for defining, documenting, and planning complex Cisco LAN solution designs based on pre-defined internal design standards. There is currentlyplanning for a global transformation of the LAN estate over 450 sites, with the first stage commencing in Q2 2022.The role involves complex planning activity to ensure existing design deficiencies are addressed as part of the end-to-end design methodology.The role also provides specialist top level support expertise to operational teams performing analysis and diagnosis of complex networking problems during implementation phases.Key responsibilities:- Proactively plans and undertakes complex technical activities to ensure that the infrastructure continues to function effectively in line with changing requirements.-Maintains the environment through the application of agreed technical enhancements from suppliers/vendors, agreed solution designs from within the CS Solution team, and proactive improvements from output of internal networking tools and reporting.-Responsible for developing and managing tooling platforms, monitoring, alerting and configuration capabilities within the live environment.-The role ensures global technical documentation is accurate and maintained.-Provides technical SME support to the programme ensuring that service affecting (or service threatening) operational difficulties are resolved promptly.-Provide technical SME expertise to the service and operational analysts and managers utilising specialist technical skills as required.Key Experience:-Excellent technical knowledge of Networking technologies-Strong experience in developing solutions based on Cisco WAN, Cisco LAN technologies.-Solution Design for Network Infrastructure projects in complex multi-national environments.-Techno commercial evaluation of supplier proposal documents / Bills of Materials.-Working within a European and Global context.-Previous experience of working in either a network solution or technical implementation role.-7 to 10 years of total telecom experience.-Strong experience on Routing Protocols [OSPF, BGP, EIGRP], Switching & Networking [TCP/IP, TCP, UDP, OSI Model etc.]In the first instance please submit your CV
