Job Description

About the opportunity:We are the internal recruitment partner working with our global client, an unrivalled, award-winning media organisation.Due to growth we have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join a motivated and hardworking global sales team.As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for targeting existing clients as well as proactively scoping out new business opportunities to achieve and exceed set targets maximising all opportunities to gain results.You will have a naturally consultative style with the ability to build rapport quickly, to then nurture a successful, long term and fruitful business relationship with key contacts. As your client base is international, you will have an understanding andappreciation of different cultures and ways of working, and the ability to speak any additional languages will be a bonus!Previous experience in Sales is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. As the successful candidate, you will have excellent communication skills, a strong aptitude for building relationships and maximising sales opportunities witha genuine desire to learn and succeed.About the business:IBI (International Boat Industry) is the only truly international business media brand in themarine leisure production boating industry. The brand was launched in 1968 and since then has been the most authoritative voicein the marine leisure industry with loyal readers, subscribers and advertisers in over 141 countries. IBI is now part of the Boat International Media Group, the market leading media company for the Superyacht sector.RequirementsWhat GREAT looks like:The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
  • Highly literate in MS Office suite
  • Experience in B2B sales is preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience in media sales is preferred but not essential
  • Some knowledge of the marine / boating sector would be beneficial
  • Can-do attitude, resilience to overcome objections
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Appreciation of different cultures
  • Ability to speak additional languages is a bonus
