Job Description

Business Development ConsultantRemote - office is based in Wimbledon, South West LondonSalary - £30-40k dependant on experience plus commission + bonusesStarting as soon as possibleRockborne are an expert provider of specialist Data & Analytics consultants. We then immerse them in a powerful combination of bespoke technical, business, and interpersonal training to meet theneeds of leading UK companies.Founded last year by a team of passionate industry experts with decades of international Data & Analytics experience, Rockborne is able to draw on this huge volume of knowledge to address the challenges companies in the industry are facing.Since our launch last summer, were looking for a Business development consultant to join the brand and be responsible for gaining new clients as well as helping us grow from a start up to a market leading consultancy.What will you be doingAs part of our Commercial team, youll be responsible for building a consistent pipeline of clients and data projects, to be fulfilled by our consultants. You will develop new business via cold-calling, networking and in person meetings, and will take newclients from introduction through to client management, enabling you to have the opportunity to manage entire sales and account management processes.Responsibilities:

  • Booking meetings and bringing new projects and clients
  • Reaching out and pitching Rockborne to as wide a network as possible, putting us on businesses radars
  • Pitching to get us added to supplier lists and kickstarting the procurement process
  • Taking initial briefs and project requirements
  • Where appropriate, managing the latter stages of the sales process, negotiating price, booking in consultant interviews. This may be assisted or passed over to senior management depending on the client and situation.
  • Face to face client pitching, networking and entertainment
  • Building long term, value-lead client relationships
Who are we looking for
  • A self-motivated individual who loves business development
  • Ambition and determination
  • Experience in a business development role is essential as youll be pitching, selling and cold calling in this position
  • "Can-do" attitude
  • If you have already worked within the data market in either sales or recruitment then youll be in an amazing position to capitalise on your experience
  • Must work in a rapid, highly organised manner
  • Motivated by working in a target-lead sales environment with visible KPIs
  • Motivated by fast growth and potential for progression
