Job Description

Role Responsibilities The Finance Account Manager is responsible for coordinating the response to all of our clients accounting and finance needs and will act as a liaison with our Accounting Partner to ensure that all tasks ceded to them are completed in a timely fashion and to a high degree of accuracy.They will partner with the business to enhance decision making with a focus on strategy, planning, analysis, and reporting. Support will be provided to all operating entities and their supporting functions.The Finance Account Manager will coordinate varied accounting tasks, to include:

  • Ensure that all external financial reporting requirements (statutory, regulatory, tax, capital, etc) are fulfilled
  • Bookkeeping and Banking
  • Invoicing - To include the generation and submission of all Sales invoices. This should be reconciled within our accounting system (Xero)
  • Bills - All purchases made maintain purchase management account and ensure it is accurately reconciled within Xero.
  • Credit Control - ensure that weekly payables reports are raised and passed to the Exec Team to be signed off.
  • Expenses Management - regularly review the products and solutions that are available to manage employee expenses and recommend alternatives to the Exec Team as appropriate.
  • HMRC VAT returns - manage the VAT Return process and ensure the accuracy of all accounts relating to our Tax responsibilities
  • Payroll - coordinate all payroll services, ensuring that all employees and Directors are paid in a timely fashion, and that our National Insurance responsibilities are met.
  • Management Reports - coordinate production of consolidated monthly management information reflecting performance against plan/reforecast and which is accurate and produced to agreed deadlines.
  • Allocation of Costs - coordinate the establishment of Cost Centres and RSC A-B-C allocation of costs. Ensure this is accurately reconciled in Xero.
  • Financial Statements – furnish the Exec Team with periodic updates of the firm’s financial position.
  • Automation of Processes - On a continuous basis, seek to identify time and cost saving automated processes to enhance the digital profile. They will present to the Exec Team on a quarterly basis, all relevant and cost effective tools that warrant recommendation.
  • Additional Financial Support The nature of the business is to evolve to meet the needs of our Customers. As a result the demands on our Finance and Accounting functions will also evolve, and it is incumbent on the Finance Account Manager to regularly challenge the Exec Team to identify any additional tasks that may require attention. These may include, for example:
  • Analysis of performance on financial and non-financial KPIs against plan/forecast.
  • Preparation of quarterly Expense Reporting to the Exec Team.
  • Support annual business planning/reforecasting process.
  • Support in the implementation of new Reporting & Planning systems
  • Support in any other adhoc or project work as requested
