From technical and logistics services for new vehicles, refurbishment, storage and logistics for the growing used sector and the core remarketing and auction operation, BCA offers the economies of scale and diversity of services to meet the needs of an impressive portfolio of customers.About BCA Driver SalesBCA Driver Sales is an upstream remarketing channel which provides leasing and captive finance companies the opportunity to sell their vehicles prior to de-fleet day. Driver Sales is an end-to-end remarketing solution which allows our customers to benefit from a pro-active programme to sell vehicles to drivers, employees, and their friends and family.The BCA Driver Sales team manage our customer’s branded sales programmes which typically start 12 weeks before de-fleet and finish before collection is arranged, ensuring this premium route to market does not interfere with existing remarketing channels. BCA Driver Sales streamline the remarketing process, delivering additional value to our customers and a great opportunity for drivers to buy their contract hire vehicle at a competitive price.The RoleAs Driver Sales Manager you will be responsible for leading and developing the Driver Sales team through a strong management team and structure, based on embracing the BCA core values. You will have a track record in customer service and operational delivery, to drive change and continuous improvement.Reporting into the Head of Driver Sales, you will develop initiatives to increase sales, business efficiency and process improvement in respect to the company’s Driver Sales remarketing channel. The role is supported by three experienced senior direct reports who will assist with the day to day workload.Duties:

  • Leadership and coaching - performance management and culture, resource utilisation, motivating team members and maintaining a high level of staff morale.
  • Allocate and monitor the day to day workload of team members, providing support and managing performance when required.
  • Produce and distribute MI reporting to monitor the activity and performance levels of the Driver Sales team, including call monitoring and coaching.
  • Effectively meet and exceed sales and financial targets per agreed budgets together with setting and monitoring your team’s targets, also ensuring staff appraisals are held on an annual basis, along with one-to-one and team review meetings.
  • Recruitment of new employees and on-going training in line with the company’s expectations and requirements. Including the planning of any future resource needs.
  • Ensure the driver sales team meets the needs and SLAs of existing customers and act as a point of escalation to ensure that any queries or complaints are dealt with effectively and with minimum disruption and cost.
  • Provide coaching and development for direct line reports and wider team, identifying, addressing and providing support on training needs.
  • Liaise closely with the various teams within the business to identify and implement business efficiencies and process improvements to assist with the growth and performance of the business area.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with other departments of BCA including HR, IT, Business Efficiency and Marketing.
  • Compile and analyse sales figures as and when required, auditing the quality of data produced by team members, ensuring accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports can be provided.
  • Work with the relevant departments to ensure current, and new processes and procedures are carried out following applicable legislation such as GDPR and FCA guidelines. Arrange regular ongoing audits to monitor this.
  • Work with the management team to ensure the office operates under company standards of professionalism and customer service at all times.
  • Any other duties, as requested, to meet the changing needs of the business.
