As a response to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic our Intensive Care Units at Ashford, Canterbury and Margate are seeking to Rapidly Recruit suitably experienced Registered Healthcare Professionals and GMC Registered Medical Staff to work within our Intensive Care Units. These positions are initially offered for a fixed 3 month period with the probability of contracts being extended, and are ideal for returnees and retirees as well as ICU staff who work elsewhere but live locally, as these positions are additional to our substantive staff base we are able to offer flexible hours to suite (7.5hrs per week minimum) and applicants should be available to commence working with us at short notice – therefore this is not a suitable vacancy for those overseas, HCA’s and pre-registration students to be applying for and we would ask that those look at the opportunities on our websiteWe offer a shortened induction package which covers the correct usage of PPE and individualized bespoke ICU refresher training. Thank you for your interest in supporting East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust and the NHS as a whole at this unprecedented time, do not be disappointed if you cannot find the right position for you as there are other ways you can support us without necessarily working with us,, firstly we must protect the health services and not overwhelm it, so we should all follow the Governments advice and another helpful and practical way to not overwhelm our services is to take a look at your local councils website as there are plenty of voluntary groups needing help and by supporting the vulnerable in our local community we are preventing the vulnerable from becoming A&E attendances. For ex-EKHUFT employees only request a pro-forma from; Please note we are not accepting internal applicants for this vacancy. If you have any queries please contact us on and we will be more than happy to help.
