Job Description

RSR Police is a market leading recruitment business dedicated to supplying experienced practitioners on a temporary, contractual or permanent basis to the Law Enforcement, Cyber Security, Offender Management and Regulatory Services talent markets.RSR Police are currently recruiting for an Exploitation Team Referral Assistant to join one of their clients to provide investigative and administrative support and assistance to the Exploitation Team, as a central reference/contact point for the force and partner agencies in relation to vulnerable victims of exploitation.This is a contract role until the August 2021, based in the Wigston area or Leicestershire working Monday to Friday. This role pays £10.95 per hour PAYE.Main Duties:

  • On receipt of a child exploitation concern to complete a comprehensive check on all Police databases (PNC, Niche, Genie, Webstorm, PND, Custody, CATS) to gather information and intelligence held relating to the child, family and relevant addresses.
  • Provide support to officers investigating reports within the remit of the Exploitation Team, through provision of case research documents using all available Police and multi-agency information.
  • Assist in an administrative capacity in partnership discussions and meetings with internal and external partners as and when required.
  • Assist in making referrals to internal and external partners.
  • Assist the facilitation and co-ordination of the police response to vulnerable children.
  • Record information, discussions, and actions in an agreed format using Force systems.
  • Ensure that emerging, or high risk cases, are immediately brought to the attention of supervisors.
  • Deal with tasks relating to vulnerable children arising from internal tasking and information sharing meetings.
  • Deal with queries and requests for information from internal and external partners relating to vulnerability.
  • Give advice to external partners on the Police role in safeguarding and protecting vulnerable victims.
  • Act as a contact point for the Exploitation Team by developing and maintaining a network of contacts with Police and partners for vulnerability.
  • Assist the monitoring of local compliance with agreed multi-agency protocols
  • Essential Requirements:
  • An understanding of child safeguarding issues
  • Previous multi agency experience.
  • Understanding of data protection legislation when handling information
  • Computer-literate and to be able to demonstrate a methodical approach to work
  • Experience of researching information from a number of sources to produce accurate reports with attention to detail
  • Demonstrate experience of working within a high pressure environment with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience of working within a confidential environment
  • Effective communication skills on all levels both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
