Job Role: Experienced Veterinary Surgeon Location: Liverpool Salary: up to £60k DOE Our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to work in their independent, unique, brand new purpose built city centre clinic with 3 Vets (2 with more than 15 years experience) & 3 RVN teamThe role is open to applications from experienced Vets wanting to work 3-4 days per week and 1:4 Saturdays.If you are ready to take on some clinical responsibility and help develop their enthusiastic 1st opinion team in an independent clinic where you would really be able to shape how we work: then this is for you!HOURS: They are open between 8.30am - 6.30pm, and Saturdays from 8:30-5pm. Bank Holiday cover shared 10am-4pm with a full day in lieu (except for Christmas)SALARY: Pro rata £60k depending on experience (based on 40 hours/week)HOLIDAY: 30 days per year (pro rata) 2 of the days are Christmas and Boxing Day (or their respective Bank Holidays)BENEFITS:- OWN PET POLICY- insured pets, covered the excess for any claim. SKILLS:

• Medicine- a clear diagnostician, happy to research or ask to find answers, keen to keep learning, always keeping their knowledge up to date. Able to complete and record a full clinical exam for every patient
• Surgery- a neat, gentle and efficient surgeon. Adhering to Halsteads principles. Able to follow and deliver our protocols for peri, pre and post op care.
• Cleanliness and tidiness- the consult room, theatre, kennels. Taking a lead in maintaining our high standards
• Efficiency- self motivated to utilise time effectively, to suggest ways to improve our processes and procedures to this end.
• Clinical audit- able to identify, reflect and present to the team when cases have been successful and when they could have been handled better.
