Job Description

Do you hold a degree or previous experience delivering tuition to secondary aged pupils Would you like to work within a secondary school, providing tuition to pupils in various subjects such as Maths, English and ScienceIf so, our client school currently have a need for additional tutors who can support the learning of pupils preparing from summer examinations.

  • Full time secondary school tutor roles – January start with work until the Summer Holidays.
  • Supporting pupils aged 11-16 within subjects including; Maths, English and Science.
  • Pay of up to £325 per week and invaluable experience for those considering applying for a teacher training programme in the future.
  • Applicants required to be educated to degree level or hold previous experience working within secondary schools or delivering tuition required.
    • The head teacher of this high achieving school is implementing a new intervention programme aiming to improve the schools results across all subject areas. The school wish to appoint Maths, English, Science, Geography, History or languages graduates who can provide additional tuition to pupils preparing for examinations.As a secondary school tutor, you will be required to support KS3 and GCSE pupils within their studies. You will receive full support from heads of department to deliver set resources to pupils who aren’t currently achieving their expected grades. This is a rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to have a real impact on pupil’s development and learning.This secondary school can be found close to the Standish area of Wigan making it accessible from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Chorley and Preston. It is well respected within the local community and has been commended for the achievement and behaviour of their pupils.
