Job Description

Senior Chiller & Refrigeration EngineerSalary up to £45k plus Bonus and BenefitsNorth WestOur successful and growing clients are recruiting an experienced Senior Chiller & Refrigeration Engineer to oversee the service and repair of large industrial chiller equipment. This role will require you to support other engineers and technicians with yourtechnical knowledge.Role Responsibility:

  • Maintaining and servicing customers’ chiller and refrigeration equipment (including DX Heat pumps) to a consistently high standard.
  • Primary contact for all technical service issues, responsible for trouble shooting and resolving highly complex systems within a set timeframe.
  • Ensure risk assessments are conducted and documented prior to all works being carried out and complete all work to an agreed high level.
  • Attending and participating in customer meetings, providing a technical solution and able to demonstrate in depth technical knowledge.
  • Prepare detailed reports/technical communications on work carried out.
  • You will carry out system PPM as per contract requirements clearly communicating findings and any further actions required or recommendations for system improvement, upgrades or optimisations.
  • Understanding and reviewing, technical documents such as, wiring diagrams, P&ID drawings, Pressure Enthalpy diagrams, etc.
  • Creating reasonably complex technical reports and standard dilapidation surveys.
  • Ability to produce and submit customer remedial quotations
You will need:
  • F-Gas 2079
  • NVQ II or NVQ III - any higher would be advantageous
  • Have previous successful experience in a similar role or with an air conditioning/refrigeration background.
  • Ideally, Experience with major manufacturers Chillers such as York/Trane/Carrier/Climaveneta/Airedale/McQuay
  • Understanding of absorption chillers would be advantageous but not essential.
  • A good understanding of controls and able to read complex wiring diagrams.
  • Familiar and capable of delivering Service/Maintenance and repair of Water-cooled and Air-cooled Chillers
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Highly articulate and presentable with excellent customer facing skills
  • IT literate and good record/data keeping skills
  • Enhanced DBS check is required.
