We are seeking a Scheduling Assistant who will be accountable for providing our field-based meter installation engineers with a cost-effective drivable route usinginternal systems, as well as providing any additional support to the engineers.This is a permanent, full-time role opportunity working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, and occasional Saturdays as needed. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to work from home while spending a minimum of 2 days per week atthe Wigan office. The annual salary for this position is £23,400.What you’ll do in the roleWithin this role, you will play a crucial part in efficiently managing the scheduling of work using our in-house systems. Your responsibilities will include coordinating various skilled engineers to ensure optimal utilization, scheduling appointments throughthe Appointment Booking System (ABS), and promptly addressing emergencies and priority jobs throughout the day. Your use of the Jeopardy Management System (JMS) will be essential in minimising failed appointments by reallocating tasks among engineers as needed.Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring both current and future appointments, liaising with meter engineers, handling queries from various stakeholders, and communicating with customers regarding engineer arrivals and appointment adjustments.Your role will also involve managing engineers on-the-day challenges such as sickness, training, meetings, and annual leave, all while adhering to strict time-sensitive deadlines. Finally, your proactive approach in monitoring rotas for holidays and sickness,as well as keeping your area scheduled well in advance, will contribute to the overall efficiency of the scheduling process.What we’re looking for
