Job Description

HR Advisor Salary: £38,000 + 15% Bonus + Great Package & Scope. Office BasedWiganOur Ref: ADW00548This global leader in the engineering, manufacture and application of unique systems, is looking for an HR Advisor to join their growing team, based near Wigan.Reporting to the Site Director and an offsite HR Manager, you will lead the day-to-day HR operations for their 220-employee site, with the support of an HR Officer.Specific duties will include;

  • Deal with all HR-related queries, quickly and efficiently, always providing a professional service.
  • Act as point of escalation for complex and/or senior-level ER casework
  • Identify, recommend, and implement improvements across the HR department.
  • Lead any project-related work in collaboration with senior HR team members.
  • Manage all site based recruitment
  • Manage the onboarding process and induction of new starters.
  • Use and maintain the HR System, managing workflow processes, extracting reports, and analysing data.
  • Assist with company benefits administration.Constantly review HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure Payroll enquiries, ad-hoc instructions and payroll changes are processed
  • Assume line manager responsibility for, and develop and mentor the HR Officer
  • Build effective relationships with other group businesses, encouraging collaboration and shared learning.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced or aspiring HR generalist, looking to develop and progress in their career by being exposed to a variety of HR duties. Suitable applicants will have previous HR Advisor level experience, with excellent knowledgeof UK employment law and an ability to manage employee relation cases through to resolution.You will have good leadership skills, strong IT and reporting skills and, the ability to influence and manage expectations at all levels of seniority.N.B. Due to the nature of the business, this role is office based and you must have a flexible willingness to travel to other locations within the group when required (Gloucester and Nottingham).
