As a Civil Enforcement Officer you will make sure that drivers follow parking regulations in car parks around the Wigan area.What youll doPatrol local council car parks to make sure that regulations are being followedRecord and issue Penalty Charge NoticesCheck parking meters and car park equipment and report damage or faults, checking that car parks are clean and tidyYou will report defective signs and markings, identifying and reporting any abandoned vehiclesExplain regulations to motorists and advise them about parking facilitiesYou’ll check tickets and attend to minor machine faultsWhat youll bringYou’ll need to be assertive and polite when dealing with peopleA calm and professional approach to handle difficult situationsExperience of working in a customer service role is highly valued and an ideal transferrable skill for this roleYou should be able to work as a team member or on your own and have the ability to make decisionsFull driving license essentialWhat well offer you£19,691 per annum 42.5 hours per week on a shift basis (pattern is over 7 days a week including Saturdays and Bank Holidays)20 days holiday plus Bank holidaysUniform and waterproof clothing provisionTraining and DevelopmentEmployee Discount schemePensionMust be 18 or over to apply Required skills
