The company has a UK annual turnover approaching £280 million and employs around 1,000 people at 23 sites across the country.The PositionApplications are invited for a Site Shift Electrician at the Company’s SecAnim Ltd Widnes Site. This site is a 24 hour operation running 365 days per year. The role is a full-time permanent position, working 4 on 4 off shifts (days and nights) averaging 42 hours per week.As a Site Shift Electrician your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:• Working under Health & Safety guidelines.• Site Electrical installations and upgrade work around plants.• Electrical maintenance of Plant including ppm system.• Attending and rectifying electrical breakdowns on Energy and Rendering divisions.• Maintenance of lighting systems including emergency lighting.• Electrical Maintenance of offices.• Training of apprentices.• Environmental and general compliance under IPPC regulations and EMS 14001 accreditation.• Knowledge of 3 phase 415v Motor drives 0.75kw - 160kw (including star / delta control) and motor inverter controls.• Good control panel fault finding skills (24VDC - 415VAC).• Knowledge of various types of panel control including contactors, overloads, relays.• Experience and an understanding of various instrumentation including thermocouples, pressure transducers, level sensors with 24Vdc 4-20MA controls.The Person• You must have knowledge of Heavy Industry electrics.• Experience of PLC’S would be an advantage• Experience of working on steam boilers and CHP plant would be an advantage.• Have extensive electrical knowledge / training.• Experience of handling electrical maintenance and breakdowns.• Confident demeanor.• Be able to troubleshoot and solve process problems.• Experience of plant operations.• Basic mechanical skills.• Excellent communication skills and ability to converse at all levelsSalary: Competitive Salary and BenefitsPlease apply online with your CV and covering letter.* Please note that only shortlisted applicants will be contacted due to the high volume of CV’s being received.Simplified Recruitment is a Job Advertising Agency working on behalf of SARIA.
