The site is the Distribution Centre for the North of the country and is high volume and highly transactional, supplying chemical materialsto a wide and varying customer base.Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the successful candidate will maintain high levels of operational safety, operational standards and financialcontrol.Key responsibilities will include:+ All Site Operational activity, which includes Production, Warehousing and Quality control activities, involvement in Logistics & the wider supply chain functions. Assurance of Quality processes including Environmental, Health & Safety based activitiesincluding compliance to Company, Legislative & customer policies and procedures.+ Health & Safety. This is an Upper Tier COMAH Site and ISO14001 accredited and as such is subject to scheduled visits from the HSE, Environmental Agency, Local Authority, Quality audits & customer audits that you will be expected to host and play an activepart in ensuring that the site maintains its compliance status. Leading by example and setting the right standards for the site are crucial.+ Controlling and maintaining the site financial operating plan and present monthly budget performance and forecast plans including cost control initiatives and strategies.Key Tasks:The site is a high-risk site by nature of its handling of large quantities of hazardous and non- hazardous chemicals whilst also undertaking blending & Toll manufacturing plants.Leading the ongoing and the future capital investment projects and general site improvements is a requirement for the role and the successful candidate would need to maintain the service offering to the business whilst undertaking the necessary improvementsto ensure that the Company remains compliant.You will be outgoing and personable, a team player and a manager who takes pride in their work and leads by example.We Are Looking For:+ Strong people leadership ability+ You will be PC literate with experience of WMS/SAP systems, have excellent coaching, influencing and communication skills and have a "Can Do" customer centric approach.+ An experienced senior manager who is an excellent people manager, who leads by example and who can adapt quickly and effectively to operational issues.+ Engineering/Technical skills and knowledge around Storage tanks, control and instrumented systems, Blending operations, filling equipment and automated process controls with process/Technical problem solving skills and a knowledge of Chemicals and their associatedhazards would be beneficial.
