We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Electrician to join us based at our Widnes site. The role is a full-time permanent position, working a 3-week shift pattern (days only) averaging 35 hours per week. The Company has a UK annual turnover approaching £280 million and employs around 1,000 people at 23 sites acrossthe country.Your responsibilities as our Site Electrician will include:- Working under Health & Safety guidelines- Site Electrical installations and upgrading work around plants- Electrical maintenance of Plant including ppm system- Attending and rectifying electrical breakdowns on Energy and Rendering divisions- Maintenance of lighting systems including emergency lighting- Electrical Maintenance of offices- Training of apprentices- Environmental and general compliance under IPPC regulations and EMS 14001 accreditationAs a Site Electrician, you should have:- Knowledge of 3 phase 415v Motor drives 0.75kw160kw (including star/delta control) and motor inverter controls- Good control panel fault finding skills (24VDC415VAC)- Knowledge of various types of panel control including contactors, overloads, relays- Experience and an understanding of various instrumentation including thermocouples, pressure transducers, level sensors with 24Vdc 4-20MA controls- Knowledge of Heavy Industry electrics- Experience of PLCS would be an advantage- Experience of working on steam boilers and CHP plant would be an advantage- Extensive electrical knowledge/training- Experience of handling electrical maintenance and breakdowns- A confident demeanour- The ability to troubleshoot and solve process problems- Experience of plant operations- Basic mechanical skills- Excellent communication skills and ability to converse at all levelsClosing Date: Friday 27th August 2021If you would like to join us as our Site Electrician, then apply now.
