Job Title: Rail Maintenance Operative/Van Driver Salary: £27,000-£30,000Location: Widnes/NationalJob Reference:DBRAILOPWIDDo you have experience working on the railwayDo you have a full UK Driving licenceAre you willing to do nights out up to 4 times per weekIf yes to the aboveI have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join a well-established family run business in Widnes.

  • Providing maintenance and general labour for train carriages in Telford/Newport. You will be responsible for fitting/removing fitting gear for the train carriages as well as general maintenance across 3 sites.
  • NIGHTS OUT REQUIREDVAN/ACCOMODATION ALL PROVIDED
Package Details:
  • Salary - £27,000 - £30,000
  • 20 days holiday + 8 Bank Holiday
  • Pension scheme
  • 08:0017:00 Monday to FridayFlexibility on working hours essential!
  • Hotel accommodation and meals paid for
Key Responsibilities:
  • Candidates must be willing to work away from home.
  • Site is based in Widnes, however job consists of travelling to Telford and Newport and doing overnight stays
  • Maintenance for train carriages.
  • Highlighting and communicating any issues that may arise.
  • Ensuring all health, safety and quality standards are complied with.
  • Able to work unsupervised.
Experience Required:
  • Experience working on rail maintenance
  • Must be physically fit due to heavy lifting involved
  • Full UK Driving licence preferable
  • FLT Counterbalance licence preferable
