Job Description

Marketing Manager40-45kRuncornLeading, evolving, and growing the Marketing function. Innovative and agile leisure product co, considerable and sustained growth, both internationally and digitally. B2B, B2B2C, and DTC focus. Working with Graphic, and Product Designers, and external agencies. Broad remit. Modern offices, open door culture.The roleWorking alongside the Product Development team, Sales team, Design team and senior management, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for all B2B and B2B2C brand development, collateral and campaign activity, as well as helping to conceive, oversee the building of, and drive traffic to the new direct to consumer ecommerce site. The role is expected to be around 50% B2B / B2B2C, and 50% DTC. Typical responsibilities will include- Strategy Customer, Market and competitor analysis, identifying competitive threats, reviewing product strengths and weaknesses, identifying tech and product opportunities, and drawing insights to inform commercial and marketing decisions. This will include some international industry event attendance.- People Presenting and reporting to senior management. Responsible for internal communications. Developing the marketing function and managing the performance and growth of the team members.- Performance Monitoring and analysing the performance of all marketing activity and campaigns to ensure results are being delivered in line with expectations or seeking insights to help make improvements.- B2B2C Building consumer brand awareness through packaging and in-store marketing materials such as POS and product literature, as well as social media, pr, advertising and web content. Overseeing photo and video shoots, and the creation and adherence to brand guidelines.- B2B Providing marketing support and sales presenters to enable the sales team to develop relationships with large retail clients, both in the UK, Europe and the US.- DTC Working with the external digital agency to shape and develop the ecommerce website, and utilising digital marketing techniques - SEO, Paid Media, and social media - to drive traffic and revenue. Managing marketplace activity. UK and overseas.The personThe Marketing Manager role may also appeal to candidates in roles such as Digital Marketing Manager, Ecommerce Manager, Brand Manager who have a background in general marketing. Suitable candidates will come with some or all of the following- A significant number of years in a Marketing Management capacity, with strengths in shaping commercially aligned marketing strategy and a solid understanding of both traditional and digital activity, ideally with ecommerce knowledge.- Confident and comfortable generating ideas, pitching them to senior management, communicating rationale, and discussing commercial aspects. Experienced in pulling together and delivering reports on performance and revenue generation.- Natural leader, able to communicate a shared vision and engage those around them to strive for common goals. Strengths in personnel performance management and individual development.- Research driven, strategic thinker; commercially focussed, well versed in the creation of multi-channel marketing plans for both B2B and B2C audiences.- Experience overseeing the creation of a broad range of digital and traditional marketing materials, working with both in-house and external resource, and ideally some basic abilities with Adobe design software.- Degree, Masters or equivalent industry qualification such as CIMThe CompanyThe Marketing Manager will be joining a lifestyle products business, established 30 years ago, and boasting a reputation for innovation and quality.
