Job Description

Management AccountantWidnes£38,000 - £45,000HybridManagement Accountant. Widnes, Hybrid.The Management Accountant will be part of a team responsible for the production of weekly Group P&Ls and Group Reconciliations.Key Accountabilities:

  • Preparation of monthly and weekly management accounts including the posting of any accruals and prepayments and variance analysis as applicable.
  • Presenting reports to senior managers as required.
  • Balance sheet control and ownership including monthly reconciliations for selected accounts.
  • Supply of both regular and ad hoc Management Information.
  • Handling recharges for internal cost allocations to ensure accurate performance.
  • Budget and forecasting
  • Managing finance output from the operational systems for sales invoicing and costings.
  • Production of various KPIs
  • Raising and receipting of POs for selected costs.
Experience and qualifications:
  • Qualified or part qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant.
  • Previous experience in similar finance-based role
  • Proficient in all MS packages and in particularly in Microsoft Excel with strong ability to analyse large amounts of data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and confident working to tight deadlines.
  • A team player who is flexible and happy to take on a variety of work to assist the team.
  • A fast learner of systems and processes.
  • Confident in picking up the phone to ask questions when additional information is required to support the production of meaningful management information.
  • A confident communicator who can challenge people and change behaviours within an operational environment.
  • Someone who can identify where processes arent working, can recommend new processes and help management to roll these out to operational staff.
  • Ability to build successful relationships with and provide support to national operations teams with the ability to articulate financial information to a non-finance audience.
