We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to work within ReFood’s site based in Widnes. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis working 12-hour shifts, 4 on 4 off (days and nights), plus overtime to provide shift cover when needed. In return, youwill receive a competitive salary plus benefits.The ReFood AD plants operate as integrated recycling units, processing a variety of food wastes to produce renewable electricity, heat and DynAgro, a nutrient-rich fertiliser for local farms. The plants also recycle the food waste packaging. The plants provide an environmentally sustainable solution for all waste producers looking for a safe method of diverting food waste from landfills.As our Maintenance Electrician, you will carry out site electrical maintenance, installation and upgrade work around the plant whilst providing production support within the shift team. You will ensure that health and safety procedures are followed at all times and that high levels of productivity, attendance and customer satisfaction are maintained at all times.As our Maintenance Electrician, your duties and responsibilities will include:- Undertaking day to day maintenance of all plant and machinery- Conducting site electrical installations and upgrading work around the plant- Working under Health & Safety guidelines- Undertaking electrical maintenance of Plant including ppm system- Conducting routine electrical maintenance and repairs according to planned maintenance schedules, including the completion of risk assessments- Troubleshooting and solving problems- Completing department daily work record sheets- Providing production support within the Shift team and providing shift cover when required- Assisting other mechanical/operational departments when requiredWhat are we looking for in our Maintenance Electrician- Ideally, you’ll have experience of an Anaerobic Digestion facility or related experience- A recognised Electrician apprenticeship/qualification- Extensive electrical experience working in a continuous process environment- Proven experience with fault finding, including troubleshooting and solving problems- Familiarity with general factory maintenance practices- Prior experience in electrical/mechanical breakdowns- Experience of installing and working with circuit boards, power supplies, meters, lighting, electrical points and electrical wiring- Conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives- The ability to work on your own initiative- The ability to communicate well at all levels- A motivated individualIf you would like to join us as our Maintenance Electrician, then apply now.
