Interim Group Accountant - 6 Month FTCWidnes, CheshireAbout UsHere at the Suttons Group, a long standing and successful global logistics provider, we have the opportunity for an Interim Group Accountant to join us on a six month, fixed-term contract.The Benefits- Competitive salary- 25 days’ holiday pro rata- Employee Assistance Programme- Comprehensive perks package including discounts on hundreds of top name brands, high street offers and holidays, as well as employee wellbeing and supportIf you are an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with previous experience in a group role with a global, multi-currency corporation, this is a fantastic opportunity to take your next step into a rewarding contract with an internationally operating business.You’ll have the chance to play a key, influential role, supporting our financial health and ensuring our company continues to grow and remains as successful as ever.So, if you think you’ll thrive in an innovative and forward-thinking environment, this is the role for you.The RoleAs an Interim Group Accountant, you will prepare accurate weekly, monthly and annual financial information including profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow reports.Your role will also involve:- Consolidating group results- Delivering monthly balance sheet reconciliations- Overseeing fleet finance lease accounting and control- Supporting the preparation of UK VAT returns- Resolving ad hoc accounting queries from international accounting teams- Assisting in reviewing and improving internal controls- Supporting interim and year end audit processesAbout YouTo join us as an Interim Group Accountant, you will need:- At a minimum, a recognised professional accounting qualification, either ACA, ACCA or ACMA- Previous experience in a group role in a global, multi-currency corporation, including monthly reporting- Excellent knowledge of Excel, including vlookups, SumIF, pivot tables and formulae- The ability to write reports that explain complex technical issues in a way that less experienced accountants can understand- To be highly numerate- Excellent communication skillsIdeally, you will have experience of Sage X3, but this is not essential.Other organisations may call this role Interim Accountant, Management Accountant, Group Accountant, Accountant, Qualified Accountant, Financial Reporting Accountant, or Group Financial Accountant.We are also interested in hearing from suitably qualified and experienced professionals with backgrounds in Accounting, Accountancy, Accounts, Finance, or Financial areas.The closing date for this role is the 22nd March 2020.Please note, all offers of employment are subject to valid Right to Work documentation, completion of a Basic DBS check and Drug and Alcohol screening prior to start.Suttons Group is an equal opportunity employer.
