We currently have an opportunity for a HGVC Class C – Fallen Stock Collector/Driver to work at our well-established site in Widnes. This is a full-time position, working between 48 hours per week, in line with UK Domestic Rules. In return, as our Driver, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits (overtime rate will be paid for hours above 48 per week).Originally founded as Prosper De Mulder Limited in 1926; SARIA’s UK operations have a market-leading presence in a wide range of sectors associated with the food chain. The Group’s companies manufacture quality products for use in human and animal foodstuffs, agriculture, aquaculture, and industrial applications. The company has a UK annual turnover approaching £250 million and employs around 1,000 people at 23 sites across the country.As a HGVC Class C – Fallen Stock Collector/Driver your duties and responsibilities will include:- Driving a Company HGV (Class C) vehicle and operation of vehicle equipment – bin lift, tail lift, tipper body, winch etc.- Completing the required work documentation (including Driver Records and Collection Records).- Ensuring the vehicle is well maintained and clean and undertaking required vehicle checks.- Safe tipping of vehicle.- Collecting fallen stock from customer premises and bring back to site.- Dispatching (kill) farm animals at customer premises.- Using firearms (if correct certificates/licences are held) to dispatch farm animals.- To act as an ambassador on behalf of the Company, ensuring that the clients/customers are treated courteously and respectfully.- Consistently meeting Driver performance criteria requirements.- Use an electronic PDA in accordance with internal system requirements.As a HGVC Class C – Fallen Stock Collector/Driver you should:- Hold a full Driving licence – HGV Class C essential.- Hold a WATOK Licence (advantageous although not essential as the Company will provide training once employment has commenced).- Hold relevant firearm certificates would be beneficial.- Have previous experience of working in an agricultural or fallen stock background.- Be smart in appearance (uniform is provided) and have a pleasant manner.- Have knowledge of vehicle operations.- Have the ability to demonstrate understanding of Driver Hours Rules (EU & UK Domestic).- Driver CPC completed.If you would like to join us as our HGVC Class C – Fallen Stock Collector/Driver then apply now.
