Job Description

HGV2 ADR Tanker Driver - WidnesManpower UK is currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 ADR Tanker Drivers working out of our clients Widnes Operating Centre. Employing over 500 staff across its network of UK manufacturing sites, with an on-going re-investment programme to improve Health &Safety, efficiency and business development, our client are key suppliers to many of the UKs leading Water Treatment Companies. Drivers will work Monday to Friday. Must hold ADR licence (8 & 9 Essential)The Salary Package;

  • Annual Gross Salary (Paid Weekly) = £35.3K - Expected annual salary between 35.300 - 50.000 (OVERTIME PAID AT £19.82 PER HOUR & NIGHTS OUT PAID AT £40 PER OCCASION)
  • Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday (average shift start time between 04:00/06:00)
  • Holiday entitlement pro-rata to 15.5 days per annum + Bank Holidays ( if shifted to work on BH, a day in lieu elsewhere
  • Plus Average Holiday Pay

Experience:
  • Tanker driving: 1 year (preferred)
Key Qualifications Required for the role;
  • Class 2 ( HGV2 Vocational Licence )
  • ADR in Tanks to cover min Class 8 & 9
  • Driver CPC Vocational Qualification

  • Health & Safety minded
  • Professional with high standards
  • Fully conversant with Drivers Hours and WTD Rules
  • Excellent Driving Skills
  • Flexible can-do attitude
The Role;
  • Delivering hazardous chemicals in tankers throughout the UK
  • Compressor discharge as well as pump draw off at certain customers
  • Start and finish times vary per shift
The Training;
  • Full 2 - 3 weeks comprehensive training package carried out alongside an experienced Driver Trainer, followed by a final " pass out " with a Senior Assessor
  • Refresher Training on day 1 with Keep Legal, Drivers Hours, First Use Inspections and Company O Licensing
  • Full Company induction to include all PPE requirements and site procedures/ protocol
  • On-going regular assessments and re-training
