Job Description

JOB- Mechanical Design Engineer(Inventor)LOCATION- Whitstable, KentTERM- PermanentSALARY- £30,000- £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)My client works within the manufacture of a range of Mechanical Products and they are looking to take on an experienced Design Engineer, on a permanent basis, in Whitstable. The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • HNC/ HND / NVQ / Degree qualified or similar in Mechanical Engineering
  • Have good experience working in similar roles
  • Be able to do Sheet Metal design and detailing
  • Be proficient with using Inventor 3D design software (Solidworks will also be considered)
  • Problem solving capabilities
  • Any knowledge of MS Project or CDM would be desirable
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Have your own transport
    • The Design Engineer role will involve:
  • Producing design and detail drawings using Inventor software
  • Ensuring all work meets the relevant standards
  • Working with MS Office
  • Ensuring compliance with their ISO standards
