Inner London Weighting)Contract: 12 months Fixed TermThis is a unique and amazing opportunity to join the British Red Cross as a Celebrity Liaison Officer who will help implement a celebrity strategy to recruit high profile supporters to engage with our causes publicly.2020 marks British Red Cross 150th anniversary. Thats 150 years of helping people in crisis in the UK and around the world. To mark this special year, the British Red Cross are building the celebrity function to help support even more people in crisis.Do you have the media skills and experience to help us build on this great work What you will be doingYou will be supporting the Senior Celebrity Liaison Officer with the organisations celebrity engagement work.You will be helping to talent spot, enlist and nurture relationships with celebrities and high- profile supporters and to coordinate the handling of these relationships with other partners in the organisation.You will also be deploying celebrity talent appropriately, knowing who is aligned with which cause and for what purposesWhat we are looking forWith a thorough understanding of how celebrities can support charity campaigns, contacts with specific agents and confidence in understanding how celebrity agencies work and the best ways to approach them, candidates should have:- Experience in charity campaigning.- Experience in working with celebrities.- Experience of organising photo shoots and film shoots.- Experience of facilitating field visits in the UK and overseas.- Working knowledge of media eye or other celebrity databases.- Experience of creating multimedia campaign asks for UK and global celebrities.- Excellent networking and relationship building skills.- Superb communication skills.Meet the teamReporting to the Senior Celebrity Liaison Officer, you will sit within the communications and engagement directorate. The communications and engagement directorate tells the stories about who we are, what we do, what we believe, and the difference we make to peoples lives - so that both externally and internally people act, behave, or make decisions in a way that results in a positive change for people in crisis.
