Job Description

We are looking for a highly focussed and well organised Senior Merchandiser to join our fast-paced business specialising in the supply of design-led gifts to both consumers and retailers worldwide.Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Managing all aspects of inventory management to ensure excellent availability
  • Liaising with the wider team on stock availability and to ensure the understanding of expected peaks in trade for planning
  • Forecasting and ensuring the business has maximum availability in line with KPI’s
  • Identify problems and suggest / implement solutions to deliver OTIF for phase launches
  • Awareness of company best-sellers to maximise sales
  • Financial planning of future product ranges including option selection, stock-re-ordering and future buy quantities and sign-off packs
  • Review sales forecasts based on performance and action re-forecasts
  • Data analysis to support the buying and sign-off process including reviewing past sales figures and market trends
  • Manage the team production of weekly merchandising trade reports, lead the trade meeting and drive actions / improvements
  • Ensure planning deadlines are met and managed to meet the business’s Critical Path
  • Implement new processes and challenge the business with effective and concise data on existing processes.
  • Maximise the potential from your team through effective line management, coaching and empowerment
  • To be considered for the position, you must be able to multi-task and able to cope under the pressure of a fast-paced environment. In addition, you must possess the following key skills and experience:
  • 2 years previous experience in a similar merchandising role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent excel skills and computer literate with east of using new systems
  • Experience managing a large product catalogue (1500 SKUs+) within a fast-paced environment - ideally having experience of B2B and B2C
  • Able to work under pressure whilst sticking to deadlines
  • High level of numeracy and literacy
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to drive change
  • Flexible and open to work on a variety of tasks
  • A collaborative style, able to work effectively with other departments across the business
