Job Description

Sales & Marketing Assistant - Graduate / Undergraduate Fluent German speaker (Essential)Location: Weybridge, SurreySalary: £23,000.00 per annum12 month contract, Full time, office based Our client, a global manufacturer, supplies toys and game products to national and specialised retailers across Europe, Middle East and parts of Asia. Their mission is to make the world smile, offering a wide range of innovative, high-quality toys and nurseryproducts that kids love and parents ask for by name.They are offering a fantastic Sales and Marketing Assistant opportunity for a recent graduate or under-graduate seeking a placement year to gain valuable experience as part of a highly successful team. Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager in the UK, you will be a fluent German speaker and will support the German SalesManager and German General Manager to achieve the sales and profit targets in line with the business strategy.The Role:Marketing Support:

  • To support activities relating to the local agencies (PR/Media) alongside the Senior Brand Manager and General Manager
  • To implement and activate social media plans for the dedicated German channels, with the guidance of the Senior Brand Manager
  • To work with the Central marketing team and German Sales Manager to co-ordinate the preparation and provision of sales tools for new product launches, including preview presentations
  • To assist in compiling findings from competitive reviews and sales performance data for the provision of business reviews/strategic planning
  • To assist with the organisation of Nuremberg Toy Fair, and attend and support as directed
  • To be a proactive member of the Central Marketing team including completing packaging and instruction manual translations from English into German
  • To attend meetings relevant to the German market as required (i.e. Central Marketing updates, Line Reviews, sales forecast meetings, sales and marketing meetings etc)
Sales Support:
  • To complete customer specification forms as directed by the Sales Manager
  • To send out samples as requested
  • To ensure all online listings are accurate and up to date with images, videos and text
  • To prepare price lists under the guidance of the General manager
  • To attend customer meetings with the Central team and Sales Manager
  • To liaise directly as appropriate, under the guidance of the Senior Brand Manager, with German retailer marketing teams to implement dedicated marketing activities

  • Be educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Have GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
