RCP Chief RegistrarWe are looking to appoint a Chief Registrar from August 2020 for a minimum period of one year. This is a leadership role for senior specialty trainees, with 40% protected time (60% clinical practice) to develop and implement local initiatives focusing on, for example, service improvement, engagement and morale, education and training, workforce and sustainability. There is a bespoke development programme provided by the RCP, which runs from September 2020 to June 2021 and comprises five 2-day modules that chief registrars are expected to attend.Wexham Park Hospital would be an excellent base for this role as we have a brand new Emergency Assessment Centre comprising a state of the art Emergency Department, an Acute Assessment Unit and a Short Stay Unit for both medical and surgical patients promoting a new multidisciplinary way of working. All candidates must hold a national training number. This is an essential requirement and trainees must discuss applications for chief registrar roles with their education supervisor and TPD in advance of applying. Permission to apply for the role must be obtained from the TPD.This advert closes on Sunday 31 May 2020 Proud member of the Disability Confident employer schemeAbout Disability ConfidentA Disability Confident employer will generally offer an interview to any applicant that declares they have a disability and meets the minimum criteria for the job as defined by the employer.
