Job Description

Deputy Team Leader required for a talented metal machining team in Wetherby. Our clients engineering company is going through continued growth and investment and an experienced team leader is required to lead the production schedule, supervision,product control and develop this successful team of five.This company creates unique designs across a wide range of products for their clients from sheet metal enclosures and precision components pieces. This is a permanent position.Working within a team of 5 people, you will work to high standards of perfection, ensuring the high volume orders of varied bespoke items are achieved to customer deadlines. With parts prepped, measured, machined, degreased for the next department, thisis a busy and varied work area. This role is more about the process and leadership of the team, systems of work, quality and safety.Skills:

  • People management skills and proven leadership experience
  • Ability to work in a technical setting of engineering or manufacturing
  • Ability to read and understand an engineering drawing would be beneficial
  • This is a hands on role, so you will need to lift and load and quality check items
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
  • Work to high standards of detail - ISO9001 experience desirable but not essential
Our client is offering a permanent contract, full time hours of 8-5 Monday to Thursday and a 1pm finish on a Friday. 25 days holiday per annum, free parking and a great and modern working environment.Initial interviews are being held immediately and second stage will be a tour of the clients premises and interview.We may close the advert early, so please do not hesitate to apply if this is the role for you.
