The RoleOur professional services client is looking for a permanent Part time Health and Safety Officer to work two days per week (14.5 hours).The role can be worked mainly remotely; however you can also work from the Weston Super Mare office or other offices within the South West, and occasional travel will be required from time to time.The starting salary is £35,000 per annum pro rata (full time equivalent) £14,000 per annum for the two days worked.Other great benefits include:- Flexible and hybrid or office working available- Annual salary review- 25 hours holiday plus Bank holidays, increasing to 95.75 hours holiday after three years service- Annual salary review- Death in service 3 x annual salary.- Access to Rewards and Health scheme.- 24-hour external Employee Assistance Programme helpline- Flexible benefits including Buy and Sell holiday, Cycle to Work, Payroll Charity Giving and Private Medical Insurance.- Introducing clients and staff commission schemes.- Pension 3% rising to 4% (but matched up to 6%) after 4 years service.- Enhanced Maternity and Paternity pay after one years service.The roleWorking with the Health and Safety Partner, you will coordinate and lead on health and safety matters, having responsibility for the day-to-day health and safety for the firm.- Upkeep and delivery of in-house health and safety training materials, including induction, refresher, office champion and management training- Coordination, completion and monitoring of new starters and annual DSE training- Producing Health and Safety communications.- First aider monitoring and training coordination- Completing health and safety related risk assessments, coordinating and monitoring of external health and safety related contractors, including fire, electrical and asbestos- coordinating fire risk assessments and guidance, coordinating asbestos reviews, legionella assessments and electrical assessments including PAT testing and fixed wire- Monitoring and coaching of individual office completion of health and safety routines, carrying out annual inspections- Being responsible for the incidents and accidents reporting process and keeping up to date with all relevant legislationWe are looking for:
