Job Description

DB Charles have recently partnered with a successful business based in Weston Super Mare that are actively working with DB Charles to find and hire the best talent within Application Development. The business has gone through a very prosperous period and they are part of a wider group business with various sites across the UK.This company has a long standing track record of success dating back to their start out and with the business now entering the next chapter of growth and development, they are seeking to attract and hire an Application Developer and for this position, the day to day duties will include:

  • Development, maintenance and continued improvement of the website application platforms & frameworks
  • Add requested new features & functions
  • Design, create and build new applications
  • Training
  • Internal meetings
  • Liaising with other internal departments
  • Reports
    • For this role, the client is seeking CVs with aspects of the following skill sets:
  • A previous career background working within Application Development / Software Development
  • Degree focused towards IT or a relevant subject supporting the role preferable however not essential
  • Strong experience and knowledge of JavaScript, PHP or Ionic
  • Experience and knowledge of .NET & SQL
  • Framework knowledge of Laravel & Symphony would be highly advantageous
  • Previous project management or client facing experience would be highly advantageous
  • Strong ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to commit to a permanent role in Weston-Super-Mare but important to note the role will offer 1 or 2 days remote working capability
    • The role will be Monday to Friday with a x40 hour working week, with the employer flexible to consider 8:00am to 4:00pm or 9:00am to 5:00pm. Important to note, the role will offer 1 or 2 days remote working in addition. The client is ideally seeking to pay a salary ranging from £30,000K to £35,000K per annum (based on experience & skill set).If the role sounds appealing to you, then get in contact and we look forward to speaking with you soon.
