Job Description

Project Management Officer Location: Office and Field Based. We pride ourselves on enabling organisations to make the right decisions at leadership levels, and to working with the workforce to give higher levels of engagement.About the Project Management Officer role: The purpose of this role is to support the Consultancy Management Team to ensure projects are set up, resourced, managed and completed, on time and to budget.The project management officer is responsible for leading the team that supports consultants to deliver their work (invoicing, materials, reports, field logistics, office duties).In addition to this you will be responsible for:

  • Accountable for deploying comprehensive project management approach that supports the business in effective selection, prioritisation, monitoring and control of projects in line with best practice standards
  • Evaluate existing project management approach and then refine/ establish project governance structures and processes for complex medium to large projects
  • Design and delivery of internal project management training and coaching programmes
  • Support Directors of Consulting to analyse and track projects in-flight
  • Lead the team that supports consultants to deliver their work (invoicing, materials, reports, back office)
  • Monitor project performance metrics and influence the consulting community by providing advice on project and programme initiation, planning, execution and closure
Required knowledge, experience and qualificationsIn keeping with our Behavioural Vision, you will care passionately about your team, creating an environment where people feel valued, cared for and can flourish.   • 5+ years working with project, programme and portfolio management practices, ideally in professional services environment
  • Experience of managing internal and external stakeholders, including developing relationships, with particular emphasis on being able to support and influence busy client-facing consultants
  • Project management certification (i.e. PMP, Prince2 Practitioner) from a recognised professional body (such as the Project Management Institute) or equivalent
  • Good planning, communication, verbal, written, presentation skills and report writing skills
  • Demonstrable experience of Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project, MS Visio and MS SharePoint. SAP knowledge desirable.
  • Team leadership / line management experience highly desirable
  • English essential, other languages desirable (Dutch / French)
