Job Description

Procurement Administrator - Fixed TermThe Stewart Milne Group provides innovative solutions for residential homes and commercial developments through our Homes and Timber Systems Divisions across the UK. We work on over 350 live projects per year, supporting customers on-site and building timber kits across our two bespoke factories in Westhill - Aberdeenshire, Witney - Oxfordshire and in an additional hub space in Falkirk. We have regional offices in Aberdeenshire, Glasgow and Witney and the team operate across several sectors including, private housing, affordable housing, student accommodation, medical facilities, hotels, and education. Working with market-leading precision-engineered build systems, architects, surveyors and design teams, the division delivers noticeable benefits for our clients.Reporting to the Purchasing Team Leader, you will be an integral part of the Procurement Department providing general administrative support in order to meet the department objectives by accurate and timely processing of information.Due to current COVID restrictions, the Procurement Administrator will initially be Home Based with training days in the office based in Westhill.This role is a fixed term contract until December 2021.Accountabilities

  • Ordering of goods and services to meet customer expectations in a timely manner. Ensuring that orders are clear and concise and match quotes from suppliers where applicable.
  • Taking responsibility and ownership for life cycle of orders ensuring date management is maintained and communicated both internally and externally.
  • Ensure that delays or long lead in times are notified to the internal supply chain
  • Ensure that quotes are within budget and if not notify your line Manager for approval
  • Ensure that all costs on Axapta are maintained and monitored to allow accounts to match invoices against orders
  • Proactive management of quality issues to include recording new issues and ordering of goods and services to site when required.
  • Document control including filing electronically and archiving historical paperwork
  • Updating and maintaining the item table when required
