Job Description

Manufacturing OperativeStewart Milne Timber Systems are a leading offsite timber frame specialist providing precision made timber frame structures to the leading developers, contractors and housing associations across the UK. We are one of the most recognised brands in our sector,with a heritage of innovation, offering our customers a diverse portfolio of build systems.No matter your experience level, we have a place for you in our thriving factory as a Manufacturing Operative!Due to a growing future order book, increased production levels and exciting new developments, Stewart Milne Timber Systems is recruiting both Dayshift and Backshift Manufacturing Operatives for our Westhill factory.As a Manufacturing Operative you will be a key member of the Factory Manufacturing Team, responsible for manufacturing timber frame elements. Types of job role include;

  • Becoming part of a team on one of our automated production lines.
  • Fabricating components required for finished product assembly or supporting other factory processes.
  • Referring to technical drawings and using pneumatic tooling to assemble timber frame components.
You will have the opportunity to learn new skills and gain knowledge within the role, with a clear emphasis on quality, productivity, and safety.Whichever area you work in or task you undertake, your working day will never standstill.We operate two working shifts, Dayshift and Backshift, with the opportunity for overtime;
  • Dayshift - Monday to Friday, starting 7.30am
  • Backshift - Monday to Thursday starting 4.30pm
Essential Requirements
  • Enthusiastic worker
  • Basic maths skills
  • Attention to detail, including the safety of yourself and others
  • Excellent time keeping skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
Desirable Requirements (But not Essential)
  • A background in factory, manufacturing and/or timber frame construction
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Pneumatic tools experience in an industrial setting
