Job Description

Pay: Kent Range3 Start Date: ASAP after interviewSt. Crispins Infant School islooking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, well-organised TeachingAssistant to join our happy school. Ofsted graded us Good in September 2019.The vacancy is initially in a Year2 class and will be for 27.5 hours per week, 8.45 until 3.15 daily, with anhour for lunch. The position will be temporary until the end of the currentschool year in the first instance, with the possibility of becoming permanentin the future. The successful candidate will:

  • Be an experienced TeachingAssistant with a proven track record, who has recent experience of a sustainedand successful placement in the classroom
  • Be committed to team working andleading by example
  • Be able to demonstrate theability to follow the teachers plans, to aid the children in completing tasksand raise their attainment
  • Be able to feedback to theteacher the childrens achievements and challenges.
  • Be able to complete informalassessments and observations during lesson time and group activities
  • Be able to engage, motivate andsupport pupils, with flair, sensitivity and with consistently highexpectations
  • Be able to demonstrate positivebehaviour management strategies

  • Candidate will need agood standard of English and Maths ability (GCSE Grade C or above isdesirable), in order to support the learning of our children. Candidates willideally have a qualification related to supporting teaching and learning. If you are successful in gainingan interview, you will be asked to complete a 20-minute small group activity,as well as taking part in an interview.
