Job Description

The Opportunity:Nigel Wright Recruitment has been retained by a large international client to lead the search for a trade marketing manager for a newly created growth focused position. The company is looking to accelerate its growth and brand presence in the UK + I marketand this is a fantastic opportunity for the new hire to drive their own remit and make a mark for themselves, creating the opportunity for a progressive career with an excellent brand. The company is a manufacturer of high quality tools for trade professionalsand operates in the UK + I, through a distribution and wholesale route to market.Role Profile:

  • A core focus on the hardware tools product range across four of the companys brands.
  • Heavily slanted towards trade marketing and trade activation.
  • Leading on promotional activities and initiatives to stimulate demand and maintain brand awareness.
  • Design briefs for artwork.
  • Database management and optimising the usage and impact of the Company CRM system.
  • Engagement with core customers (wholesalers / distributors) to support with imagery and data for the web content.
  • Driving lead generation for the sales team through marketing activities.
  • Driving the agenda and engaging with the sales team to provide them with high quality marketing tools and collateral to support their sale cycles.
  • Creative contribution to all marketing and promotional planning meetings and processes.
  • Reporting into the European based Divisional Senior Marketing Manager.
  • Hybrid setup with the ability to work from home the majority of the time, if not commutable to West Yorkshire. Travel required for customer engagement and trade shows etc.
Package:
  • £40K - £45K basic.
  • Annual bonus of up to 2 months salary.
Person Specification:
  • Generalist trade marketing experience (ideally 3 years +).
  • Likely to be in a senior marketing executive, or marketing manager role currently / previous position.
  • Trade activation and promotional activation experience.
  • UK hardware / tools market experience would be desirable.
  • Exposure to wholesalers such as Toolbank would be a significant benefit.
  • Flexible on location as can be home based. Reasonable proximity to West Yorkshire would enable more Head Office engagement.
  • Further towards the South East would also be acceptable as customer engagement and travel for events tend to be more slanted to this geographical area.
