Job Description

Our client, based in West Yorkshire , is currently recruiting for a one Sexual Violence Support Worker on a 1 year Fixed Term Contract and one Complex Needs Support Worker on a 2 year Fixed Term Contract.The positions are due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary for both roles is £25,339 per annum (pro rata).The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Responsible for supporting a case load of 10 females who are victims of domestic violence, or who may have experience of sex work or sexual exploitation
  • Create tailored support plans for clients and develop a group work programme to help women enable positive choices
  • Provide both emotional and physical support to individuals
  • Liaise with external providers on behalf of clients, and attend visits with support services with individuals
  • Carry out regular risk assessments and ensure safe guarding practices are embedded within work practices
  • Attend and lead the drop in and outreach services on a regular basis
  • Build rapport and maintain a trusting relationship with a caseload
  • Work to reduce discrimination, exclusion, stigma for sex workers for individuals and in the wider communitySkills/Experience required:
  • Experience of working within female victims of domestic abuse
