Job Description

Our client, based in West Yorkshire, is currently recruiting for a Support Team Leader on a temporary contract for six weeks (ongoing). The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis and is working from home. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Responsible for the day to day management of a five Housing Support Workers and an Engagement Worker, providing support to vulnerable service users with a housing need
  • Managing the diary and conduction contact calls via MS Teams with Support Workers to explain situations and offer advice and guidance
  • Manage and motivate staff to produce plans and targets for the service teams and monitor staff performance
  • Develop staff through support, supervision and identifying relevant training needs
  • as a facilitator to ensure that residents receive the support services and advice that they require from the support provider or other statutory bodies
  • Manage the overall caseload to ensure the service is hitting targets and is providing excellent support to its clients
  • Experience required:
  • Line managed staff previously
  • Worked in a Housing Support environment
  • Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
  • Risk assessment and management
  • Able to meet team targets
  • Ensure that staff are supported and enabled to deliver excellent quality service to vulnerable clients
  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS dated within three years
