Supply Chain Procurement Lead

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be recruiting the following role with a growing and exciting manufacturing business based in West Yorkshire.We are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Procurement Leader. The successful candidate will provide leadership, direction and vision to the Supply Chain Team. It is the Supply Chain Managers responsibility to develop and execute the Supply Chain Strategy across multi-sites and cultures, to set and achieve short and long term goals for Supplier Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation.Key Responsibilities:*Provide leadership required to develop and maintain consistent conformance to operating, quality, safety, security, and housekeeping procedures.*Lead/support supplier escalation negotiations and support management meetings with global suppliers and customers.*Work with plant management team to identify and drive operational improvements, cost reduction initiatives, process flow and inventory reduction.*Define and drive departmental performance measures.*Ability to balance between long term strategic focus and short term priorities based on customer needs.*Ability to understand problems, initiate long term structured improvement projects and ensure their timely delivery.Strategic*Lead development and execution of supplier Cost Reduction plans for the plant.*Lead the sourcing process for new program sourcing in alignment with global commodity strategies.*Develop and execute a long term Supply Chain Strategy for the plant including all tactical aspects of supply base management.*Participate as a member of the management team to formulate policies, procedures and strategies to achieve the business goals*Participate in the development of the annual and long-range budgets and strategies.Human Resources*Lead the teams in a professional, open and motivating manner displaying consistency, honesty & integrity at all times*Identify top talents and skill set gaps of existing team members.*Create and execute individual development plans and provide coaching to team leaders and managers*Ensure that recruitment, induction and employment policies are applied in all aspects of the departments day-to-day operation.*Ensure that discipline is applied in a fair & consistent manner within the department.Knowledge & Experience*Must have excellent problem solving skills.*Professional verbal and written communication skills essential.*Must have highly developed organizational skills, including the ability to prioritise, handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.*Proficient in use of Microsoft - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.*Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP*Minimum 5 years related work experience in the Supply Chain / Procurement leadership If you want to discuss this position in more detail, please call Carl Walker at Elevation Recruitment Group.Elevation Recruitment Groups Procurement and Supply Chain division work with a vast range of business across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire and East Midlands regions.
