Job Description

Here at Veritas Education I am currently looking to recruit a school based DT Technician on behalf of my partner secondary school based in the Kirklees area. This role is easily commutable from areas such as Mirfield, Batley and Liversedge. Starting assoon as possible you will be responsible for supporting within the Design Technology department of school making sure the equipment and workshop is kept in a tidy and safe environment for pupils to work in. You will be supporting the head of department witha wide variety of tasks and be used to working with machinery.Requirements of the role

  • Knowledge and understanding of how workshops run
  • The ability to support young learners across the secondary age range
  • Genuine passion for the subject of design technology
  • Be able to adhere to health and safety policies in schools
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (this can be applied for)
This role is starting as soon as possible on a full-time basis with the potential to have options of going onto the schools permanent contract in the new future. This is suitable to a wide range of candidates from recent graduates through to experiencedwoodwork/workshop professionals.
