Job Description

OverviewSales Manager required for a new role to cover the North East and Yorkshire regions to identify new business opportunities and ensure that existing relationships are nurtured.The RoleThe successful candidate will be tasked with identifying and winning new business, along with retaining and developing an existing customer portfolio, by offering a consistent expert proposition that suits the customer’s needs, in line with the company’s serviceoffering.The Sales Manager will be required to pro-actively generate and identify new business opportunities (pipeline) from either self-sourced or qualified company leads whilst developing a demonstrable strategy to develop existing, or win new customers by researchingkey business sectors, using relevant data, tools and testimonials.Day to day duties will include the following:Achieve or exceed set targets and KPIs on a monthly basis Develop, present and successfully sell the company’s services to new and existing clients, using relevant, persuasive company sales collateralPlan and implement new business strategy to identify specific customer targets and to project the number of contacts to be made. The post holder must also prepare a projected forecast for their sales activity, both in customer visits made as well as projectedrevenue Manage, develop and progress with self-sourced or company generated leads and referrals resulting from field activityPrepare presentations, proposals and effective sales contracts to be delivered to internal and external parties. (Producing clear SLAs)Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge Establish, develop and maintain current client and potential client relationships; ensuring each contact has an appropriate customer contact plan to ensure the right level of contact is maintained to offer optimum service versus customer opportunityPrepare accurate and concise paperwork to activate and maintain contract services. Manage account services through CRM dataTake full ownership for investigating and resolving customer and client concerns and grievances; implement strategy to avoid reoccurrence of such issues in the future and provide solution on an ad-hoc basis. Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or market feedback/development gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff. Ensure all activity is recorded accurately on CRM.Liaise and support with marketing team to develop sales outreach strategies for key customers or sector industriesWork within the companies vision and values framework on a daily basisApplicants must have: Ability to hunt for new customers and build client base. Self-drive and the ability to succeedProven ability to persuade and influence othersStrong negotiation skills Ability to develop and deliver presentations of a high professional standard.Ability to create, compose, and edit written sales proposals and materials.Strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to effectively interact, engage and communicate with company decision makers at all levelsStrong organisational skillsA strong knowledge of own customer base and be able to demonstrate any influencing factors on customer activity Plan active participation in marketing events, such as seminars, trade shows and telemarketing events Have a thorough knowledge of the market in which customers operate; be aware of customer trends and act on these appropriatelyAbility to report and forecast accurately Act as an ambassador internally and externally.
