* Must be on Specialist Register for Old Age Psychiatry or Neuro-Psychiatry ** Section 12 Approval & AC Status Essential *RemitCompass Associates are proudly working with a leading provider of private mental health services to headhunt for a Consultant Psychiatrist. This is a permanent, part time role working 15 or 22.5 hours per week.You would be based on a 16 bedded locked unit for older adult males with challenging, complex and agitated/aggressive behaviour due to backgrounds of Dementia or neuro-cognitive conditions. The unit is made up of individual en-suite bedrooms and service users have access to facilities including sensory areas, secure garden and communal areas. The aim is to reduce risk, manage comorbidities and maximise function whilst supporting any other additional physical conditions or those requiring end of life care. You will independently manage a caseload of up to 16 males but will liaise closely with the hospitals other Consultant Psychiatrist as well as the wider MDT which includes a Consultant Psychologist, Ward Managers, Occupational Therapists, Activity Coordinators, Specialist Nurses and Support Workers. -Hours and on calls:This is a part-time permanent role working either 15 or 22.5 hours per week. There is also a non-residential on call rota, working 1:4, which is via phone.Commutable from: Wakefield, Leeds, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Bradford, Halifax, Keighley, Todmorden, Rochdale, Dunford Bridge, Sheffield, Barnsley, Pontefract, Doncaster, Rotherham, Goole, York, Harrogate, Selby, Ilkley, Otley and surrounding towns.The CandidateEssential criteria:
