What could be more rewarding!Independent Non-Medical Prescriber / Independent Nursing Prescriber / NMP Role:At leastone years relevant and recent experience of working within substance misuse treatment is desirableSound and demonstrable knowledge of clinical prescribing issues, harm reduction and health promotion interventionsProvide a range of alcohol and drug medicalservices and interventions to presenting clientsClinically assess, plan, deliver, evaluate and review clinical care, carrying out general health assessments including BBV management, risk assessing, pre and post-test counsel, test & immunisationInitiate prescribing,as well as making amendments to prescriptions of opiate and alcohol substitute treatments and related medicationsProactively manage and review care and treatment plansIdentify and assess client suitability for community opioid and alcohol detoxificationDeliverclient-centred health promotion and harm reduction interventionsDeliver safer sex, contraception, nutrition and healthy living adviceDeliver immunisation testing and vaccination programmeCo-ordinate and deliver call and recall services for Hepatitis B andHepatitis A immunisations, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV testingWork in collaboration with the local NHS hepatology service and Clinical Nurse SpecialistsLiaise with pharmacists regarding supervised dispensing and prescription queriesProvide informationand advice on prescribed, illicit and over-the-counter medication, including side-effects and interactionsBe familiar with and adhere to service and statutory guidelines and policiesActively participate in clinical audits, collaborate on clinical governance,review, implement and uphold of policiesComplete all mandatory trainingPromote and maintain a positive, safe environment of openness and honesty through relationships with colleagues and clientsUnderstand the need for strict confidentialityAbility to organiseand prioritise own workload, applying judgement and initiative when required.Benefits:Up to 32 days Annual Leave per yearCompetitive company pension scheme with employer contributionsLife Assurance SchemeLearning & Development opportunitiesEmployee AssistanceProgramme, Discounts, Eye Care Vouchers and more...To be considered for this position please send over your CV using this link or get in touch with Haaris Rashid on or email at
